Which space should I book?
Studio A + B (the cyc wall and Creative Room together, about 1,550 sq ft) is great for fashion, portraits, product, podcasts and video. The Mezzanine (about 550 sq ft, with the full kitchen) is great for workshops, meetings, showers and small celebrations. The entire studio (about 2,200 sq ft) is great for large productions and private events. The entire space is versatile and can be used however you prefer. Compare the spaces
How long can I book, and what does it cost?
Bookings start at a two-hour minimum: from $252 for Studio A + B, $189 for the Mezzanine and $336 for the entire studio, tax already included. Our studio is open 24/7 and can be booked for as long as needed. The online booking page always has current rates.
What does my booked time include?
Setup, teardown, tidying and returning equipment. With prior approval you can arrive up to 15 minutes early. Overtime is logged by the access system and billed at the hourly rate, so book extra time up front if you might need it.
What is your booking and refund policy?
Bookings are final and non-refundable, but we’re happy to reschedule with advance notice, subject to studio availability. No-shows can’t be rescheduled.
What is your clean-up and studio use policy?
Please return all items to their original position after your session, and take any garbage from your shoot with you when you leave.
Can I rent lights?
Yes. Add-ons include Godox AD600 Pro and AD200 Pro strobes, Rapid octabox and strip boxes, an optical snoot, a Manfrotto video tripod, reflectors, 10 × 10 ft hand-painted canvas backdrops and 9 ft paper rolls. See the full list
Can I wear shoes on the cyc wall?
The studio has a shoes-off policy. Where shoes are required as part of a production on the cyclorama, they need to be clean, new or covered — we have covers at the entrance of the studio. A standard cleaning fee may be charged to your card after a shoot, depending on the state of the studio: $60 CAD for Studio A + B and $120 CAD for full studio use. This fee is waived when the studio is left in good condition.
Can I host an event?
Yes, the Mezzanine or the entire studio can be used for boutique and intimate events. Every event needs to be reviewed first. Kindly send an email to info@studiot1x.com to inquire.
Where do I park?
There is free parking in the complex in front of our unit (Bay 9) and across from us at units 8–9, plus plenty of free street parking. It’s important that the bay entrances of other units aren’t blocked, so please pass this on to everyone joining your shoot or event.
Is the studio accessible?
The studio is at ground level with a barrier-free washroom.
